Gifted Gorgeousness - February

It's only the second month in and already I'm late!

I'm making slow progress on 'Halloweenies', even though I love this design. It doesn't help when I discover that I've made the water hydrant too tall and have to restitch it most of it as well as the patchwork stars above it! I really like this Lakeside linen fabric that I'm using. There will be a small piece of this fabric left when I finish stitching this, so it will be fun deciding how I will use it.

Fabric: Lakeside Linens 32ct Vintage Sand Dune
Threads: recommended  Gentle Art Sampler threads and Crescent Colour

You will have seen this gift I received in my previous post but as this is all about gifted gorgeousness, here again is the gift that I received from Clare (Aimetu) in our Needlecraft Haven Valentine exchange. The chocolates are long gone. I already have a design in mind for using the threads that Clare sent.

I'm also working on two other gifts for exchanges which I'm unable to share just now. However, I should be able to reveal one of them next month.

Until the next blog post, happy stitching.

Valentine Exchange

At Needlecraft Haven this year we had a non-stitching Valentine exchange. You sent your partner a pair of socks with some matching skeins of thread and a card of course, to say who the gifts were from.
My Valentine partner was Clare, who also sent me some chocolates and her card was hand stitched. Thank you Clare. I love these.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of what I sent to my exchange partner, Justine (no blog). The socks I sent were black with pink hearts so the threads I sent were pink and black.

Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop

This year I'm taking part in Jo's Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop. This pretty cushion was stitched by my blog hop partner. I'm waiting on them to leave a comment so that I can find out who they are.

Secret Stitching Sweetheart Blog Hop
The idea behind the blog hop is that each participating stitcher sends a photo of a Valentine themed stitched item to Jo. She redistributes the photos so that we each get one and then we go blog hopping to see who has received ours. When we find our photo, we leave a comment to identify ourselves.

If you pop along to Jo's blog, Serendipitous Stitching, you'll find the links to all the bloggers taking part in this year's Valentine blog hop. Thank you, Jo, for organising this.

Now it's time for me to find out who received my photo. Until next time, Happy Valentine's Day.
